Not much to talk about these days. Just waiting to see how this stuff play out. Which stuff?
Waiting to see if Price WaterHouse does an honest economic appraisal of the convention center project. If they do, it is sunk. Which is good for the taxpayers. Waiting to see if the state will investigate the Albany Police. Waiting to hear what the chief says about his own investigation of the Albany Police and their machine gun issue. Waiting to hear if the DA's office is doing an investigation of the newly annointed head of DGS and waiting to see how the common council responds since 14 of them seem to think being investigated for crimes is a-ok and shouldn't stop you from getting a job to head up a $30 million budget. Waiting to see how much money we would save if we just got rid of the common council and replaced them with a rubber "Approved by the Common Council" stamp and gave that to the mayor. Maybe enough to actually keep the community centers open on the weekends? Waiting to see if Paul Clyne attempts his big comeback. I could go on, but I will leave some of the other big issues off the list. We won't have to wait long. One way or the other, things should change. Also, there have been some technical changes to the site to make it harder for people to post spam. Only one diary per day per customer. And don't get too comment happy and post 10 comments in 10 minutes or you'll get stuck in the time out corner.
