In the spirit of a bit of nonsense from the presidential campaign, I suggest to Brooks that she reject, denounce, and renounce this endorsement.

Of course, I'm not part of the machine, so you can't take my advice on this too seriously.

(Disclosure: Tracey Brooks is an old friend of mine.  Please note that this does not mean I am endorsing her, or even that I am voting for her.  If that changes, I'll disclose that too.)

oops.  She'll come to regret running as the machine candidate.

Got my first mailer from Mittleman today.  From the photo it appears he has a friendly dog.    Doesn't mention the war in iraq though.

Here is a pretty funny story about Ms. Brooks. When she ran against Pat Casale, I tried to volunteer to help out since I knew the district very well. One of her aides whome I went to school with told me that I couldn't help because I had interned for a Republican Assemblyman (not by choice). I find this very funny considering she used to be a Republican. Just for that, I told everyone I knew to vote for Phil Steck. I met him a few times and he was a great guy.

Jerry has not had the greatest succcess with his endorsements, maybe the other candidates should be thankful that he is gooing with Brooks.

Tracey just lost the support of most of the people in my neighborhood.  When election time approaches, more than a few of my neighbors walk up to me and ask, "Now which candidate does The Mayor support?"  I tell them which one, and then they vow to vote for the other candidate.  Happens all the time.

That being said, The Mayor can still order the uptown minions in his personal political machine to vote however he wants them to.  Unless there is an organized counter movement in the City among "dissidents" in support of another candidate, then we can count on The Mayor delivering the City to Tracey.

And no, the Tracey Brooks campaign has not called me to demand equal time on my blog.

I was very disappointed about the way she talked when she came to the DFHMR. She gave the same corporate speech using the same bureaucratic language of her website.

I am still waiting for the first quarter campaign finance reports for Tracy and Steck. I want to see how much money they raise, and from whom.
