You asked for it. Councilman Calsolaro delivers.
The city clerk, at my request following alfrednewman’s suggestion, has given copies of the Albany City Budget to the Albany Public Library to distribute to each branch library and on the traveling library van

I like that city clerk, (none / 0) (#1)

three for three, in my experience.  He handled Mark Lyman's situation in a classy way, the two times it intersected with his office.  Nobody would have known if he didn't, so it wasn't about appearances, just a fine job.

This makes #3.

I wish our mayor was consistent.

might introduce a resolution requiring the city budget to be posted say, within 48 hours of its being announced, on the city's website?

Thanks! (none / 0) (#4)

It is sad that it had to be requested.  It demonstrates how far Albany is behind other cities.  Thanks to all who made it happen.

Now get people to read it!

i'll mail $5 (none / 0) (#5)

to anyone who e-mails me it in PDF format so we can get it online.  I know the city said they couldn't afford to do that, I'm willing to spend $5.

plans to, in his own words

Draft a resolution requiring the mayor's proposed city budget, and then the final budget, be posted on the city's web site within 48 hours of the presentment of the proposed budget, and 48 hours following the adoption of the final budget.  Also, that all meeting minutes of the Board of Estimate and Apportionment be posted on the web site within 48 hours of finalizing the minutes for each individual meeting.

Thanks, Dominick (none / 0) (#7)

Whoever said Albany was cursed, obviously did not know the Honorable Dominick Calsolaro resided here.

We are blessed to have Dominick on the common council.

It's just to bad we don't have more like him.

Say Dom, any chance we could clone you?

in order to cast my vote for him if he did.

You know the old saying:
