In truly bizarre fashion, yesterday the city website had a version of the 2008 budget but then it was removed. Someone must be scared of something,

I've been saying Joe Bruno is a criminal for some time. Read this and see how bad it really is.

John DeRosier comments on Chief Tuffey and the truth.

Sorry about the continuing site issues. They should be resolved soon.

I can't imagine you don't.

with a fine new Mac and just out of the box scanner/copier/fax whatever.

Yesterday I devoted an afternoon and read and followed all the instructions for the scanner, and got to the 75th page on the PDF when there was an error message saying no more room (HP's fault).

Threw up my hands.  Found out the TU is sitting on a copy and WAITING anyway for the city to say they've got it, and link to THAT, downplaying the issue.  Just a nice link some day.

that Senator Ted Stevens (R-AL) and Senator Joe Bruno went to different schools together? Both have a lot in common "except" Stevens is smart enough to announce his retirment in the hopes the Feds won't send him to prison for accepting contractor kickbacks, bribery etc...

this is what I'm predicting (none / 0) (#7)

The Bruno investigation won't go anywhere. Bruno has smarts, finesse, money to pay pros for advice.   We will find -- my prediction -- that he pushed up against laws, made a mockery of the legal intent, but didn't do anything criminal that can stick in a complex presentation to a jury.

Just a guess.

That doesn't mean it's not worth investigating.

pointed out the budget is now online.

I caught that they have about 5 pdfs, which helps explain my problem when I got to the 75th page.   I'll break it down next time.
