I never thought I'd say this, especially after having to cut her a fat check this month, but Betty Barnette and I agree on something.
Barnette said she had no exchange with either Bosworth or Commisso, and she referred to "the handpicked slate," saying, "there was not a black person or a woman represented. It was seven or eight white men in a room and they call this open, good government, I'd have to differ. I call it hypocritical."Now coming from someone who sent out the election results prior to an election, I have to say that Barnette is also quite a hypocrite here. But we can save that for another day. Hey, at least it wasn't 40 white people in a room like Mayor Jennings' Recapitalize Albany team.
