Albany's Proud History of Electoral Fraud

The Times Union and Fred LeBrun never fail to amaze me with how they look the other way about the problems with Albany politics or how they actively cheer on the illegal activities of the people like Mayor Jerry Jennings. Check this out.

Holding an illegal election to suppress the will of the majority of the people? Run that through the Lebrun filter and its called...."Exhibiting a flair for orchestration"

I honestly think that LeBrun should be ashamed of the following paragraph where he glorifies rigging elections.
It happened fast and dirty, and left the Bosworth folks stunned and outraged. They complained about fraud and the disenfranchisement of the voter; about a tainted election and so on. In other words, they got outflanked.
Of the disenfranchisement of the voter.....and so on. Wow. All you people expecting to have fair elections in Albany. Lebrun wants you little bitches to stop whining and take it like a man.

Bosworth says he's disappointed that there wasn't a legal election. Lebrun calls this "lame". Then he essentially says "what are you going to do about it...file a lawsuit?". This is the one point where I almost agree with Lebrun as I do think they should file a lawsuit and force a weighted vote. Why do I think this? Let's go over to inside politics and see what the newly "elected" Frank Commisso's first order of business will be:
Democratic Albany County Elections Commissioner Jim Clancy is concerned he might be the first casualty of Wednesday's bitter battle for the chairmanship of the Albany County Democratic Committee, which again pitted the suburbs against the city.
That's right, kids. First order of business is to replace the elections commissioner with some puppet of the machine who will continue to enable fraudulent elections. And Fred Lebrun thinks this is all well and good. Lebrun should be ashamed and his editors should be as well for letting him run this piece of crap. The press is supposed to stand up for the law and the truth, not cheer on election fraud.

Since Clancy (Breslin's campaign manager..no conflict of interest there!) was shoved down the throats of committee people because of the threats of losing one's job, he should be worried.

The "County" faction wanted Clancy and threatened people  for their votes. It as simple as that.  The same tactics were employed Wednesday but the TU would NEVER print that.  The T.U. is partners with the County with the new civic center deal.  I wonder how the editorial board visits will go now for all the candidates backed by the current administration?

I do not need a crystal ball to see the future for that.

The last Democratic Election Commissioner, Michael Monescalchi moved into a new home and did not pay taxes for three years I believe until it was reported in a Times Union article, even though it had been pointed out to Albany Assessor Keith McDonald after the first year and second year.  That was quite a kickback from the City.  Mc Donald said it was an oversight that the taxes were not collected even though it was brought up to him on at least 3 occasions.  Monescalchi owed $16,500 in the end.  Did he ever pay?  People were proud to tell me they were paid a fin to vote the party line years ago.  Those days have gone I suppose and today people must be paid more to keep up with inflation.  When you hire dishonest people to head up your elections committee you get dishonest elections.  As Jackie Mason said about Richard Nixon "I like a crook who knows his business"
