Perhaps the libary board reads this blog? Or maybe it was the Times Union editorial. But it appears they are listening to someone. Hopefully its not the mayor. I like the Washington Ave libary. On Sunday there was a big crowd of people waiting to get in before it opened. The only other place you see that (and the crowds are much smaller there) is Pauly's Hotel.
On Monday, the Albany Public Library's board of trustees decided to hold off voting on the plan, which calls for building a new main branch on Washington Avenue, the construction of two new neighborhood branches and improvements at three current branches.
