New York and the Abramoff Scandal

First we had John Sweeney's tax payer funded party weekend at Lake Placid. And now we have this:
In or about August 2003, defendent VOLZ paid for part of a two-night trip to the Sagamore Resort at Lake George, New York for Representative #1 and members of his staff. Defendent VOLZ assured Representative #1 that defendent VOLZ would be reimbursed for his payments by Abramoff.
Yeah, we know how to show corrupt congressmen a good time in this state! In this particular Republican plea agreement, Representative #1 is Ohio Congressman Bob Ney. I've heard the Sagamore is quite nice in August. But are a couple of free nights worth a few years in prison? Perhaps. Maybe a new ad campaign for them.
