Sweeney's Strategy

Thankfully I'm not a political strategist. I hear if you do it long enough you end up looking like Carville. However, from my viewpoint I'd just like to throw out a question....is it possible that John Sweeney's campaign could've handled this more poorly than they have? I'm sure there are some bizarre ways that he could've done a worse job but so far all he has done is 1) Not deny he beat his wife 2) Say a police report is fake, even thought it isn't 3) Lie and say he'd get a real police report 4) Hire a slimey lawyer to "investigate" the Gillibrand campaign even though he is the one who beat his wife.

Never once has he said he thinks abusing a woman is wrong. But then again I guess if you support sweat shops and forcing young women to be prostitutes, as Sweeney does in the norther mariannas, you probably don't think abusing a woman is wrong.

I've been thinking about this, and here's what I've come up with: I think Sweeney's internal polls look workse than the public polls, so he decided he needed to pull off something big. Unfortunately for him, he came off looking like a liar, guilty, and paranoid.

First, for his current actions to make any sense, you have to believe that he was walking around for two tays without baving talked to a lawyer.
Second, he's now admitted that the documents are good. You wouldn't "investigate" false documents, would you?
Third, I believe they're going to be spreading the "Gillibrand campaign is under investigation" line and hoping that people hear "investigation" and think of a real investigation, like one led by the FBI. That's not what's going on here.

but if so I'll stand by what i said.  the sweeney campaign has been a disaster.   they have lied about everything and they refused to debate.  They've been running scared since day one.   When you are in a position of power you shouldn't start out being a coward....too late.
