DIA:

I am a little surprised to read that you think that it is acceptable for the governor to use state resources for blatantly political purposes. Would you be equally thrilled if you discovered that Albany city and country officials were using tax payer funded resources to discover who you are and keep track of your doings?

Somehow I think you wouldn't be so happy with that.

Did Bruno break the law?  No, he did not.  Did Spitzer's people?  We do not know.  And we do not know because both of the agencies that investigated this, the State's AG and Soares didn't subpoena anyone and did not have anyone under oath. I would agree with you except for that matter.

Spitzer's people admitted to unethical behavior. Rather expediently too. Almost like they wanted to fall on their swords so they could deflect damage.  Andrew Cuomo passed the buck to David Soares because Soares had subpoena powers. Soares probably read the Times Union and discovered that it wasn't sexy enough to waste his time on and didn't do an thorough investigation before making some very impolite remarks about Cuomo to the TU and issuing his "See No Evil" report.

Here is what I have been told about Spitzers management style. He micromanages. Does anyone here think that he did not plan of know what was going on?  He is the Fucking Steamroller, after all.
